How to Listen to God in Business

How does talking with God in business help? I have created a daily ritual site that is a wizard to follow the Lord’s pattern of prayer. This prayer was for a pattern, “Pray then in this way…” It is a powerful pattern of prayer and intimacy with the Father. Our Father longs to be involved in our daily life and businesses. I think of Jabez in the Bible. He was an ordinary person like you or me…yet He prayed, “Lord, bless me indeed, expand my borders, keep your hand with me and keep me from harms way…” He prayed, un abashed and what does God do? God granted him what he requested. This is not profound, but true. An ordinary person includes God in his business and God answers. A + B = C. It is a simple equation.

Some tips on communicating with God about your business:
1. Ask a simple question at first. Who should I call Lord? THEN PAUSE and WAIT…The sitting in silence is surrender…let Him speak…”BOB” Then respond, “Lord, do you want me to call Bob?” Once again, PAUSE and WAIT…”YES”
2. Have a confidence in God’s Spirit to communicate. In Hebrews 11:6, we are challenged that the only way to please God is to have faith. By faith, step into obedience and allow God to move.
Follow the pattern of prayer at The Ultimate Online System of Prayer:
1. Praise and Lift Him up first
2. Pray for His Kingdom to expand
3. Pray for our daily bread to be provided
4. Pray for forgiveness and to be a forgiver
5. Pray to resist evil
6. Praise Him Again
7. Listen to His directives
A great book on this is: “Walking with God” by John Eldredge. This book points out in a practical way the joy and the journey of listening to God. It is fun. I prayed and listened to God today and God led me to some real business that was all about Him and not me. It is the only way to do business. “Seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness and all the rest will be added to us.”
I want to caution you of this one thing: GOD WILL NEVER TELL YOU TO DO ANYTHING THAT IS CONTRARY TO HIS WRITTEN WORD. If it contradicts God’s word, it is from the Devil. So be careful on this principle, but other than that have fun.
Another way I have fun is before I call a customer, I ask. “Lord, what would you want to say to this person?” It is so exciting to see what God comes up with and how much it means to the people I share with. TRUST GOD and ASK!
